Hope
for Haiti
We need your help!
The Friess Lake seventh grade Spanish students are
doing a fundraiser to help the people in Haiti who
are affected by the earthquake. Our goal is
to raise at least $500. We are inviting you
to help us. The people in Haiti have
little shelter and are lacking the bare
essentials. We are asking you to consider
donating money which we will be sending to the
American Red Cross. If sending a check,
please make it out directly to the American Red
Cross. Money will be collected from Friday,
January 29 through Friday, February 12.
Thank you for your support in helping us with this
project! The Seventh Grade Spanish

Effective
Communication
Accessing and Analyzing

in their current jobs.

Questions to consider:
Describe a day in the life of a
student when 21st Century skills are real and
rigorously in place. What does teaching look
like? What does learning look like?
What does assessment look like? What
are the implications for K-12 education?
What can/should stay the same? What
can/should change? How will anytime,
anywhere access to new information affect our
lives in the future? The way we work, live,
communicate, and
learn? |

Check Out
Athletics!
Come to the Athletic Committee
Meeting!
The next
athletic committee meeting is Wednesday, February
10, at 6:30.
All board positions will be open next year
-- if you are interested in athletics, come and
see what it is all about! Athletics
promotes healthy life styles through exercise and
sports.
We raise money for team uniforms
(basketball, volleyball, cheerleading), gym
equipment and sports equipment. We
purchased the Friess Lake dolphin chairs, scoring
table and gym banners. We helped
pay for the automated basketball hoop system, will
help refinish the gym floor and are thinking about
purchasing a rock wall. We support
our kids' summer sport camps and award college
scholarships. How do we
do it?
By selling concessions and running
tournaments.
Come to the February meeting and let us
know you are
interested! |
